Instagram Fonts for Bio and Captions

Style your Instagram bio, name or caption: cursive, bold, small caps, aesthetic full-width text and more. Tap to copy, then paste into Instagram.

Limits: Instagram bio 150 characters, X (Twitter) display name 50. Fancy letters can count as two characters in some apps, so leave room.

These aren’t real fonts. Each style swaps your letters for look-alike Unicode symbols (mostly from the math and letterlike blocks), which is why it pastes anywhere text goes. The catch: screen readers may read styled text oddly, letter by letter, or skip it, and search inside apps often won’t match it, so people may not find you by typing your name. Keep your name, @handle and key information in plain text, and use styles for decoration.

Using these fonts on Instagram

Instagram has no font menu for bios or captions, but it displays Unicode, so styled letters copied from here paste straight in. Tap a style, open Edit profile, and paste into your bio or name. In captions and comments they work the same way.

Your bio can be up to 150 characters, and the counter above helps you stay under it. Styled letters can count as two characters each, so a styled bio fills up faster than it looks.

Keep your name searchable

People find accounts by typing a name. If your display name is all in script or bold letters, search may not match it, and screen readers may read it letter by letter. A good compromise is your real name in plain text with a styled word or a decoration next to it.
